Situated on the outskirts of Warrnambool at the end of the Great Ocean Road, Rowans Lane Wines is a family-owned and operated boutique winery.

Wine is our passion, and each carefully nurtured vintage carries with it the hallmarks of quality for which we have become renowned. We do not create wine to a formula, but work with nature to create wines that are influenced by the nuances of each changing season.

The rich volcanic soils of the Henty Wine Region give rise to excellent Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. Our vines revel in the benefits of a cool maritime climate and ripening is enhanced by the north-east facing slopes of the Merri River. Our volcanic soils over limestone are excellent for developing grape structure and flavour.

The Rowans Lane label depicts the Portuguese ‘Mahogany Ship’ which is said to rest beneath the sand dunes a mere stone’s throw from our vineyard.

Our architecturally-designed Cellar Door and cafe is open weekends and public holidays, and at other times by appointment. The complex is also available for events and functions, including weddings with a difference!
